No, they say: “Indeed, we saw our forefathers upon a practice; and indeed, we are guided upon their footprints.”
Today the argument of the Fujjar—who have made their food rejecting Adhikr as told in verse 56: 82—is the same: “We are following the ways and practices of our forefathers step by step.” They do not consider the teachings of the Lord through His Messenger that “after thirty years of the Messenger’s departure, differentiation will begin,” or “in the last period, when there is no leader of believers and no group of believers, the odd believer should exist by biting Adhikr with his molar teeth.” Thus, they have become the worst creatures in the land, as told in verse 98: 6, and the worst creatures among a thousand communities of the Lord’s creatures as told in verse 8: 22. See explanation 8: 22; 31: 20-21; and 37: 69-70.
